Marie will lead a discussion on how the Internet and Social Media are being used in open adoption relationships as well as how adoption triad members are using the Internet to locate one another in closed adoptions. The program will review opening a closed adoption, privacy settings, and online resources available to help with adoption searches. Discussion will address how contact can be made in seconds via the Internet and the need for preparation prior to making contact in closed adoptions.

Marie will be presenting on the different types of adoption (domestic infant, domestic foster care, & international), openness, adoption tax credit and more. The goal of the program is to help individuals feel empowered to more forward with their plan to build their family by adoption.
